Welcome to PCMRD.
Inspired by the unique vision of Padmashri Dr. Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil, firmly
rooted in Social Justice and Development, Dr. Vikhe Patil Foundation's PCMRD was
given a concrete shape by the dedicated efforts of Hon. Shri E.V. alias
Balasaheb Vikhe Patil. For more than a decade we are effectively serving the
specific needs of the student community & industry and the society at large.
At PCMRD students from diverse, cultures and educational backgrounds come
together for an unique learning experience. They are exposed to a rigorous
programme that blends contemporary management theories, styles and skills with
future trends in the macro and micro business environment. The learning
methodologies are a mix of traditional classroom sessions, combined with
application-based assignments, presentations, small group activities, outdoor
assignments, video shows and industrial visits. Classroom learning is enhanced
with student presentations and the case study approach The emphasis is on
encouraging students to learn by doing, develop as team members, self-study and
uncovering their latent skill sets in order to develop their business acumen.
The students also benefit by learning to manage their workload and effective
time management. This is also reflected in the committees that we have in place
to manage and monitor various student activities.
Teamwork is an essential pre-requisite for success in any walk of life and more
so in the present day corporate scenario. To harness the synergy available in
small groups we emphasize that our students involve in a lot of small group
activity for personal growth and as a precursor to the life that will await them
after they graduate from the institute.
In the scenario of cutthroat competition, the industry is intent upon recruiting
well-groomed to-be managers. I am glad to share with you that we have been
successful at bridging the industry demands of trained manpower and students'
aspirations of providing a springboard for great managerial careers.
