Introduction
Rotaract Club of CMRD saw its presentation ceremony on 20th of October,2007. this initiative was taken by former President Rtr. Nikhil Lokhande with the support from all the faculties of Dr.Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Centre for Management Research & Development and the parent club – Rotary Club of Kothrud, Pune. this club is exclusively for the MBA students of Dr.Vikhe Patil Foundation’s Centre for Management Research and Development, Pune. Club activities are carried out in the campus of CMRD.
The basic objective of establishing this Club was to give a boost to the professional development of the CMRD students. To give them a platform in exploring their socio-cultural abilities, as well enhancing their contacts internally as well as externally. The Club was a formed just as any other Rotaract Club with the Board of Directors and the members. For the two consecutive years now, the strength of the club has been outstanding. RC – CMRD is an “institute based” club, hence its membership is terminated as soon as the member leaves the institute.
The club comes under zone 2 of Rotary International District 3131. district 3131 comprises of Pune, Ratnagiri, Pen, Panvel, etc. Each district has a District Rotaract Representative (DRR). In the year 2007 – 2008, Rtr. Rupal Shah was the DRR of District 3130, which later got split into two, viz. Dist.3131 and Dist.3132. current DRR of Dist.3131 is Rtr. Sushrut Bhagwat.

District Assembly marks the end of one FY and the beginning of other. Rtr. Indraneel Kulkarni was elected as the new president of the club for the year 2008 – 09. Rtr. Indraneel Kulkarni took the charge for the FY 2008 – 2009 from 1st July, 2008.
