Jalwa the annual social gathering is held every year to forge healthy competition between the students studying in various disciplines. The students vie each other for the coveted prizes. The overall winners are finally decided on the basis of their performance in the various events. These events are broadly classified as the co-curricular events - Quizzes, Debates, Games Sporting events and the Cultural events. Sports include Cricket, Table -tennis, Chess, Carom, Pool, Volleyball, Handball and Tug-of-war, while the cultural events include Personality Contests Dumb Charades, Quiz, Antakshari, Singing, Dancing . Along with the participation the students themselves double-up as organizers of this wonderfully managed event. This four day event does much to bring the students together and instil a feeling of bonhomie and camaraderie. Happy memories of Jalwa remain etched in the hearts of CMRDians where "success is not judged by laurels alone but also by the efforts that you put in."
